Downsizing

There seems to be an interesting trend over the last 3 or 4 years perfectly illustrated by the restaurant Peels in New York. It’s doing comfort food, but with a twist.

Your fried chicken is still fried, only now it seems to resemble an overgrown chicken nugget albeit ten million time more edible.

My fried chicken sandwich was served with great finesse and accompanied by a small, almost apologetic amount of fries

It all demonstrates that people basically want to eat the same old unhealthy crap but if it’s a little more delicate and designed it sort makes you feel that you’re being healthy. Even though your cholesterol levels will tell you, you are certainly not.
