With so many amazing street photography images taken through the decades it’s hard to do something different with the genre.

Satoki Nagata has come up with an arresting method in his series ‘Lights in Chicago’.

He uses a remotely controlled, off-camera flash to backlight his subjects, transforming them into powerful ghost-like silhouettes.

It’s almost as if we were getting a glimpse into a heavenly universe that parallels are own.
