The Colour of Cool

His new album ‘Crimson/Red’ concentrates instead on coming up with 10 beautifully crafted songs done in the old style that have by turn the ability to amuse, entertain and touch us.

This coupled with the fact that McAloon increasingly looks like God, makes his new album (and frankly all of his albums going back to 1982’s Swoon) essential listening.

If you ever need reminding of the power of a witty 4-minute pop song, make ‘Crimson/Red’ your first stop.
