  1. Hi Nick,
I am a big fan of Pinterest as well as your boards too. I really like your board Architecture 1 http://pinterest.com/nick_goodey/architecture-1/ . This board is a really good board and it would be fabulous if it would be more updated.
As a big fan I would take that opportunity as a big compliment and I would love to contribute to this board.
I know it is not a groupboard but it will be fine because I wont invite any other people to this board moreover I would strictly follow your rules and regulations and absolutely no spam.

    • Going from top to bottom, the first beach image is by Leroy Grannis

the next is by Henry Wessel
      the next Harry Gruyaert
I don’t know the author of image 4 but i can find out
      The fifth is Slim Aarons

    • The final few images are as follows:

The guy sunbathing with his mouth open in black and white is by Bruce Gilden
The guy reading newspaper on the beach is by Martin Parr
The girl with umbrella is by Wayne Lawrence
The guys flexing their muscles on Jones beach is by Joseph Szabo
The last shot is by William Klein

  5. The image of sunbathing woman in black and white is Marcus Bunyan I’ve just found out..

The next is by Henry Wessel again
The shot of the shirtless guy resting on the beach is by an Australian photographer … who’s name escapes me but it will come to me:)
The image of the girl in bikini posing for camera is by Wayne Lawrence
the image of girl in orange bikini posing is Rineke Dijkstra

  6. Dear Nick,
On your page “Lucky Lartigue” you show a photograph of a dancing woman with a flying polkadot skirt, often referred to as “Tango 1926”. I too wanted to publish this photo in an essay and contacted Donation Lartigue in Paris for a highres image and publication rights. They knew nothing about the picture and said it is probably not by Lartigue. It got me searching for verification. Could you please share with me what information you may have regarding its origins? You mention a book that you bought once with Lartigue images – would it be reprinted there and what, in that case, would be the title of the book? Anything you might have would be of help.
    Thank you,
    Dag Petersson

    • The Tango image wasn’t in the Lartigue book I brought in London in 1989 (so quite a while ago!) If you look online you’ll see the image appears on Pinterest and in several blogs all claiming the title as ‘Tango 1926’ but it maybe that this isn’t a Lartigue as I found another image on tumblr claiming to be ‘Tango 1926’ which does look much more like Lartigue in style. Here’s a link
then again he did take 150,000 images during his lifetime so maybe this is a Lartigue but I have a feeling that with the motion involved the image must be later than 1926.
